I am the first-generation son of Greek Immigrants, who came to this country with nothing and built the American dream for themselves through hard work, perseverance and much struggle. It’s a familiar story, shared by so many, in some part of their family’s past history. For me personally, it meant growing up in a blue collar, immigrant house and an annual summer commitment inside the kitchen of the Plaza Restaurant on the end of Long Island, in Montauk. I washed dishes, cleaned restrooms, swept, mopped, bussed tables and eventually was a cook beside my father, with my mother and sister waiting tables outside.
My blue-collar background has blended well with a Master’s degree from Fordham’s Gabelli business school and an over 25-year career in corporate accounting and finance in Manhattan. Working for a major media company (Cox Media) and one of the premier soft-drink bottling companies (Pepsi), has afforded me a lot of insight and experience that I can apply now, in my current role as president of Sun Meadow Signs & Graphics.
I also have a wonderful wife and two beautiful young girls that give my life all of its meaning. I am very proud of my sign company, but I do believe that my life’s story will be defined by the people around me and how I help them to succeed. Let us help you to succeed!
